Watch Me Grow- Snack Bags
The duration of a stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) can vary significantly, typically ranging from 2 to 3 days to 3 to 6 months, and in some cases, even up to a full year. During this challenging period, families face the additional burden of food expenses, which can become quite steep. Limited access to microwaves and refrigerators makes it difficult to prepare meals and keep food fresh, leading families to rely on delivery services or the hospital cafeteria, both of which can be costly.
In response to these challenges, Watch Me Grow, Watch Me Thrive provides families with weekly access to Snack Bags that contain a variety of healthy snacks and drinks. This initiative supports healthy eating habits and ensures that families have nutritious options throughout the day, allowing them to choose from an assortment of tasty treats while caring for their little ones.
If you would like to contribute snacks for the bags, please check out our Amazon wish list! We arrange deliveries to the units either weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Currently, we are serving 8 hospitals across the state of Florida, supporting a total of 603 families each month.
We have provided a suggested items list through Amazon .

Volunteers have the opportunity to donate breakfast, lunch, or dinner to the families in the NICU & PICU. The families come together weekly for a support group meeting to fellowship with each other families. Every month families participate in making a craft for their baby/babies, sharing the current challenges they are facing, and meet some of the staff. It is important that the families have this once a month because the NICU is an emotional roller coaster and it is good to know you are not in this alone.
We would love the volunteers to include 25 encouraging cards.
